Bracey's launch surgery for budding businesses

Entrepreneurs and business leaders from Stevenage are being invited to a series of free accountancy workshops.

The Accountancy Surgery launched last month at the Stevenage Business and Technology Centre (BTC) on Bessemer Drive, in partnership with Wenta, an organisation founded to encourage business start-ups and to support small businesses.

The surgery is a series of free workshops for new businesses or those looking to review and strengthen their financial position. During the individual one-to-one surgeries, guests will be able to ask questions on a range of topics, including VAT registration, reducing tax liabilities, business records and bookkeeping enquiries.

Pete Bracey, director of Bracey’s Accountants, said: “The Accountancy Surgery is the natural next step for us, sharing the secrets of financial success with local businesses. We want to support the rapid expansion of commerce in Stevenage and the surrounding area with sound financial advice.”
The sessions are for start-ups, sole traders and larger incorporated organisations. They are designed to help businesses within the county prosper and grow in 2015 with an increased financial knowledge.

Alexandra Shoobert, business advisor at the BTC, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be hosting The Accountancy Surgery every month and sharing our fantastic facilities with local businesses.”
